Built for One-eyed Jack,
at NAMPO Cape 2026.

A 4x4 stand, from the QR code to the report.

We built registration and check-in for the Ford 4x4 Experience at NAMPO Cape 2026 for One-eyed Jack, the PR, design and events agency. Visitors registered on their own phones from a QR code at the stand. After the show we built the four-day report, in One-eyed Jack’s name, for Ford.

Before the drive

Scan the code at the stand, register on the spot.

A QR code at the Ford stand opened registration on the visitor’s own phone. They picked that day’s group, gave their details and signed on screen, and their own QR code came by email straight away.

  • On their own phone

Visitors register on their phone, then come to the Ford stand for their group.

  • Numbered places

Places are numbered as people register, so each person knows which one is theirs.

  • Two indemnities, one signature

Ford’s indemnity and the NAMPO Cape organisers’, signed once on screen, with an ID or passport number.

  • Under 18s with a guardian

A parent or legal guardian registers them, signs for them and comes with them to the stand.

  • Two plain questions

A yes or no to photos and video, and a separate choice to hear from Ford.

  • A QR code by email

The booking reference and QR code arrive by email with a calendar invite, and show on screen to save.

At the stand

One scan at the stand, and walk-ups on a tablet.

At the stand, the team can scan a visitor’s QR code, on a phone screen or on paper, and the booking comes up with its signed paperwork. Anyone who walks up without registering is added on the stand tablet, signs there, is checked in at once and gets a QR code of their own.

  • Scan and see

A scan brings up the booking. When everything was signed online, the screen says there is nothing to collect.

  • Walk-ups on a tablet

Staff add a walk-up with the same details, indemnities and signature as the online form.

  • A QR code for walk-ups too

The tablet shows the walk-up’s QR code and says whether a copy went by email. With no email address, they photograph it.

All four days

One admin for the stand team.

Behind the stand, the team had one admin for the whole show: every group with its places, a printable list for each group, every booking, and the lead file at the end.

  • The day at a glance

Places left today, and how many codes have been scanned.

  • A list for each group

A printable list per group, with walk-ups marked.

  • Places that can grow

Every group opened with 16 places. On the second morning, the groups still to run went to 40.

  • Counts for staff only

Visitors saw Open or Fully booked, never a count. The stand team’s screens kept every number.

  • The lead file

A spreadsheet of the leads, and every export is recorded against the person who ran it.

  • Staff only

The stand team signs in to the admin. Visitors never see it.

After the show

Four days, in one report for Ford.

When the show closed, we built the four-day report, prepared by One-eyed Jack for Ford. It counts registrations from the registration record, day by day and group by group, with what Ford has on file.

  • 47 registered

43 online and 4 walk-ups added at the stand, across seven groups in four days.

  • 47 of 47 signed

Every registration carries Ford’s indemnity, NAMPO’s and an ID number.

  • 43 confirmations

Each sent with the QR code and a calendar invite.

  • 35 chose to hear from Ford

74% opted in, with the consent wording on file.
